would love any information about the Johnson family as my maternal grandmother Bessie Johnson was born in aberford yorkshire in 1898 to Benjamin Johnson and Elizabeth nee Speed who came from dunholme lincolnshire.
Benjamin died from consumption in 1902 and Elizabeth and Bessie travelled back to Dunholme to be with her mother as Elizabeth also had consumption.When mother and grandma Speed died Bessie came to warsop Notts at the age of 13 and at18 married my grandfather Thomas Clark, they had 8 children my mother being no 3 Margaret 1920, she married William Titterton and they had 6 children , me Valerie being the youngest aged 44.
no knowledge was known of my grandmothers paternal family as she was so young when she came to warsop. do these names connect to any information you have?
