He lived in South Petherton. Between 1418 and 1421 he was a soldier. He was M.P. for Somerset in 1424, 1425 and 1429. In 1425 and 1426 he was Sheriff of Somerset and Dorset. In 1431 and 1432 he was Sheriff of Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
